Marcello Maloberti<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Marcello Maloberti (Codogno, Lodi, 1966) is a visual artist based in Milan. He teaches Visual Arts at NABA \u2013 Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, Milan. He has worked with the Raffaella Cortese Gallery since 1999. His research draws inspiration from aspects of the most marginal and minimal urban realities, with a particular focus on the formlessness and precariousness of life. His observation goes beyond the immediacy of the everyday, with an alienating and dreamlike neorealist gaze combined with an archaeological approach to art history. His performances and large-scale sound and light installations, with a strong theatrical impact, are created in both private and public spaces, always favoring interaction with the public. These interventions function as contracted narratives, atmospheres to be lived and experienced, emotional temperatures to be traversed. The performing body is that of the community, capable of generating a dialogue between the performance itself and its audience. In recent years, Maloberti has explored the art\/life relationship, using a variety of visual and audio languages\u2014photography, video, performance, installation, objects, and collage\u2014always informed and enhanced by a strong performative element.<\/p>
